AB OBJECTIVES: 1--To offer basic information and resorts to get a
significant change in people behavior. 2--To report about risk-behavior;
ways of prevention and different ways to avoid discrimination in order
to be unanimous with HIV infected people. RESOURCES: 1--Conferences
oriented to educators and pediatric workers in general. 2--Orientation
and continuing education oriented to social workers and pediatric
psychologist teams. CONSEQUENCES: 1--High motivation in the group of
workers shown through a dynamic participation in the conferences.
2--Group discussions led them to a more precise knowledge about another
workers opinions within this subject (respecting-of course-every
opinion). 3--Workers are using now prophylactic-gloves when they
recognize themselves in a risk situation. 4--The information that was
offered in those conferences reached home participants and their
families. INFERENCES: 1--Continuing education and these kind of
activities are necessary to provide a better and deeply knowledge about
people myths and prejudices. These make difficult a real change in
people behavior in order to HIV prevention. 2--It is necessary to
promove these kind of experiences in several educative centers of our
country.
